Emir ratifies decisions and issues decrees

Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued yesterday Decree No. 1 of 2017, ratifying a memorandum of understanding in the field of veterinary health and livestock production between Qatar's Ministry of Municipality and Environment and Georgia's Ministry of Agriculture, which was signed in Doha on March 28, 2016. 

Emir issued Decree No. 2 of 2017, ratifying an agreement between Qatar and the Republic of Ecuador on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion regarding income tax and its annexed protocol, which were signed on October 22, 2014.

Emir also issued Decree No. 3 of 2017, ratifying a memorandum of understanding on promoting Qatari-Chinese cooperation in building the Silk Road Economic Belt and Maritime Silk Road between Qatar's Foreign Ministry and China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), which was signed in Beijing on November 3, 2014. 

The decrees become effective from the date of their issue and are to be published in the official gazette.

The Emir issued an instrument of ratification approving a draft economic, trade and technical cooperation agreement between the governments of Qatar and the Republic of Serbia signed in Doha on November 7, 2016.

He issued an instrument of ratification approving draft memoranda of understanding for cooperation in the field of financial affairs between Qatar's Ministry of Finance and Belarus's Finance Ministry and for cooperation in the field of health between Qatar's Ministry of Public Health and Belarus's Ministry of Health, signed in Doha on October 30, 2016.

The Emir issued Decree No. 4 of 2017, appointing Yousuf bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhro as undersecretary of the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA).

He issued Emiri Decision No. 1 of 2017, appointing Mohamed Hamad Mubarak Al Khalifa an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Hungary.

As per Emiri Decision No. 3 of 2017, Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Jammal was appointed as chairman of the General Authority of Customs.

He also issued the Emiri decision No 4 of 2017, appointing Dr Saad bin Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mohannadi President of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal). 

As per Emiri Decision No 5 of 2017, Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah was appointed as Assistant President of Ashghal. 

All the decrees and decisions become effective from the date of their issue.
