DOHA: Imraz and Adnan mixed aggression and patience to lead Warriors Club to the Division A title in a thrilling finish in the QCA Twenty20 Cricket Tournament in Doha.

The Qatar Cricket Association hosted this tournament to provide competitive edge to all the division teams and continue the growth of the sport in the country.

With Praveeth and Umar bagging two wickets each, Galfar Al Misnad were kept in check by Warriors Club, allowing them to make 142 for eight. Then Imraz and Adnan produced solid batting to help the team complete the chase in 17.3 overs.

Imraz blasted 58 not out in 51 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes, while Adnan’s run-a-ball 43 had seven shots to the fence and a six.

Earlier, Rizlan and Faisal carried Galfar Al Misnad to a fighting total. Rizlan smashed three sixes in his 21-ball 35. Faisal took 22 deliveries to reach 22, which contained four boundaries and a six. Gayan added 26 off 15 balls with a six and two fours.

Imraz was declared the Man of the Match.

In the Division B, the final was a high-scoring affair as Asif Ashraf excelled to power Selex past Qatar Super Kings by four wickets with 13 balls remaining.

Batting first, Qatar Super Kings piled up an impressive-looking 181 for six as Tony Archer laid the foundation with a fine 71.

He faced 33 balls, fired seven sixes and four boundaries. Benin contributed 34 with two sixes and four boundaries.

Asif Umer added the momentum with 31 not out, including half a dozen fours. Benin and Faiz shared four wickets.

Hadico held off Gladiators Club to claim the Division C title with a close six-run triumph, despite Avtar’s splendid all-round display.

Hadico made a challenging 159 for seven as Ateer and Murad turned out to be best scorers.

Ateer was a bit slow as he got 39 off 36 balls with three fours. In contrast, Murad was in an attacking mould and he just took 17 balls to compile 37.

His knock had three sixes and two boundaries. Avtar was the pick of the Gladiators bowlers with three for 26.

Gladiators Club were restricted by Jagroop and Suhail, who took five wickets between them. Jagroop netted three for 25 and Suhail grabbed two for 35.
