LONDON: Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will pay a nine-day visit to Colombia and Mexico starting later this month, his Clarence House residence announced yesterday.
The heir to the throne and the Duchess of Cornwall will visit Colombia from October 28 to November 2, then go on to Mexico until November 5.
Clarence House said the visit was at the request of the British government, following invitations from the presidents of both countries. “The visit will be a major boost to the bilateral relationship between the UK and these two dynamic and influential nations in Latin America,” a spokeswoman said.
In Bogota, the royal couple will be received at the presidential palace before an official banquet.
