Doha: Inspectors at Postal Consignments Customs Department at the Air Cargo and Private Airports thwarted an attempt to smuggle hashish into Qatar.
In several photos shared on Twitter, Customs stated that the narcotic substance was found inside the tubes of shipment containing iron spare parts. The total weight of the seized hashish was 280 grams.
On Monday, Customs also seized a huge amount of narcotic pills hidden in a passenger's bag at the Hamad International Airport. The total amount of pills that were seized at the time was 2716.
