Doha, Qatar: The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the sisterly Republic of Turkiye, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, they discussed the strategic bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them. They also exchanged views on all current regional and international issues, especially the developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation attended the meeting.
On the Turkish side, Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy HE Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Finance HE Mehmet Simsek, Minister of Trade HE Omer Bolat, and a number of senior officials attended the meeting.
