Doha: Landmark Group, along with Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF) will host the sixth Beat Diabetes Walk at Aspire Park, near Lake Area, on November 13.
Aimed to raise awareness about diabetes in the region, the free annual walk will engage the community and all can join it.
Registration can be completed online at www.beatdiabetes.me until November 13 and registered participants can collect free walkathon kit comprising a Beat Diabetes T-shirt and cap from the venue.
The walk will cover about 1.8km after which participants can opt to check their sugar levels at free blood glucose testing kiosks. The venue will also offer complimentary fun-filled activities, including special fitness activities like Zumba and spot fitness challenges and dance routines.
Children will be kept entertained at a sports zone featuring sporting activities. An onsite DJ and live entertainment will help create a fun atmosphere. Stands serving fresh fruits and water at the venue. Last year, over 8,000 took part in Qatar and over 60,000 in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and India.
