DOHA: Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company (Muntajat) will be the main sponsor of the upcoming first-ever Middle East Methanol Forum (MEMF) being organised by Qatar Fuel Additives Company (Qafac).
The event will be held here on November 26 at the Sharq Village & Spa, according to a press statement issued by Qafac.
With Qafac optimising the use of Qatar’s vast hydrocarbon resources by producing methanol and MTBE, Muntajat exclusively handles the marketing, sales and distribution of what Qafac produces within its mandate to the market.
In addition, Muntajat also sells and distributes other chemicals, polymers and fertilisers produced in the country.
“To have Muntajat on board as the main sponsor of this initiative is indeed an important addition to the Forum,” said Nasser Jeham Al Kuwari, CEO of Qafac. “With Muntajat’s key role in the marketing, sales and distribution of Qatar’s chemical and petrochemical products, including methanol, its pro-active participation in the Forum will surely prove beneficial to the desired results of the event.” The Peninsula
