Doha: Nylon fishing nets found near Al Thakhira Reserve were confiscated by the Marine Protection Department, at the Al Khor Marine Unit.
This came in an announcement by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) as it shared a photograph of bundles of nets seized during the operation.
In the same announcement, the Ministry also stressed on the need to abide by the laws and not use illegal fishing nets in prohibited areas for the safety of Qatar's environment and the wildlife in it.
