Two arrested for circulating fake currencies

The two men arrested for circulating fake currencies, with some of the fake currency notes.

DOHA: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested two people involved in circulating counterfeit currencies.
The Economic Crime Prevention Section of CID acted on tips from unidentified sources that an individual was distributing fake notes and duping some investors to change them for original currencies.
The CID informed the Public Prosecution about the illegal activities of the suspect, raided his home and arrested his accomplice as well. Fake currencies, a laptop, printers and other devices were recovered from their possession.
The suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal procedures. The CID urged citizens and residents to report to the Department or call 999 if they suspect or find fake notes.
THE PENINSULA
