Miqdam Camp received yesterday the 14th batch of the National Service Academy cadets.
The training period lasts for a year divided into three training phases. The first includes basic training, physical fitness, infantry military training, disassembly and installation of weapons, shooting, self-defence skills, swimming, battle and field skills.
As for the second phase, it includes specialised training on the type of the Qatar Armed Forces.
The third phase enhances military skills and academic education in coordination with Qatar University and a number of educational institutions in the country.
It is noteworthy that the National Service Academy receives every year a batch of high school graduates, and this year it received a large number of cadets, with all preventive and precautionary measures taken by a medical team from the armed forces medical services, to conduct a PCR examination, to make sure the recruits are free from coronavirus, in addition to sterilisation measures and a commitment to wearing masks and ensuring a safe distance between them, in order to complement the efforts and precautionary measures taken by the State of Qatar to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus.
