Qatar clinch 20 medals to finish second

Tunis: Qatari archers claimed a total of 20 medals including five gold and 15 bronze medals to finish second in the overall ranking at the Arab Archery Championship in Djerba, Tunisia. 

As many as 10 countries including Egypt, Iraq, Libya, Algeria, UAE, Sudan, Kuwait and Jordan besides Qatar and hosts Tunisia took part in the event.

Reem Al Saei was the outstanding performer for Al Annabi winning three gold medals while U-18 mixed teams and men’s team were the other gold medal winners for Qatar. 

Team Qatar archers are looking to improve their international rankings and earn qualifying points for Paris Olympics by featuring in such events.
