Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued the Emiri Decree N0 1 0f 2016, amending the formation of the Council of Ministers. Some of the ministries were also merged.
New logos of the ministries after the mergers and reshuffling are shown in the image. The merged ministries are as follows:
1) Ministry of Culture and Sports formed after merging Ministry of Youth and Sports with Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage
2) Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs formed after merging Ministry of Administrative Development with Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs
3) Ministry of Transport and Communications formed after merging Ministry of Transport with Ministry of Information and Communication technology
4) Ministry of Municipality and Environment formed after merging Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning
5) Ministry of Public Health (Supreme Council of Health is disbanded)
6) Ministry of Education and Higher Education (Supreme Education Council disbanded)
