Police College celebrates Al Saiqa course graduation

DOHA: Under the patronage of Prime Minister and Interior Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police College, H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the College celebrated yesterday the graduates of the first batch of students of Al Saiqa course which was held for two months.

Adviser to the Minister of Interior and Vice President of the Supreme Council of Police College, Dr Abdullah Yusuf Al Maal said: We are witnessing today the graduation of the first batch of students, which is the last training course in their academic and training studies to get a Bachelor of Law and Police Science by next January.”

  He said this course is the last course in the training program for students of the first batch of the Police College, preceded by important courses, including diving and parachute jumping, as well as academic study over four years.

Brigadier Dr Muhammad Abdullah Al Mohanna Al Marri, Director General of Police College, said that the Ministry of Interior began to reap the benefits of efforts made over four full years after the students completed eight academic classes and strong military training. 

The Director of the Training Department at the Police College Major Fahad Saeed Al Subaie, said that since its inception, the College has pursued a unique course in training, drawing on the best international experiences in similar colleges, adding innovative systems and programs, and focusing on meticulous implementation in the field.

Major Al Subaie expressed confidence that this batch, which completed all academic and training programs is preparing for graduation in January, will be a model for excellence, leadership, discipline and the ability to progress.
