QIB upgrades its latest Mobile App with innovative features

 DOHA: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has announced the release of additional innovative features to its award-winning QIB Mobile App. The updated app makes it easier than ever to bank on the go 24/7 as it was developed with customers’ daily banking requirements in mind.

Following the upgrade, customers can now subscribe to any future IPOs electronically. The E-IPO functionality allows pre-registered customers to subscribe to an IPO for themselves and their dependents that are below the age of 18 within a few minutes, hassle free, paperless and without the need to visit a branch.

QIB has introduced an innovative function that allows prospective and current QIB customers to calculate and apply for finance. The calculation is done based on income and expected monthly installments. This service can be reached easily on the login page of the QIB Mobile App. Interested customers can apply for finance easily through the app, which will be followed up with a call from the Bank to complete the process. This is in addition to the existing “Instant Financing” service for pre-approved customers.

The award-winning QIB Mobile App has become an all-inclusive platform that allows customers to request multi-transactions for an overall seamless process. Therefore, QIB has introduced three types of Takaful plans, underwritten by BEEMA, for customers to access directly from the Mobile App. Customers that own an existing Car Takaful policy can now renew their current plan on the App. Customers can similarly purchase family shield policies that provide a relief fund at affordable prices in case of unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. Furthermore, customers can now purchase Takaful for travel or personal safety purposes on the App.

QIB’s Mobile app is also the gateway to a world of rewards. The innovative, instant loyalty program ‘ABSHER’ is easily accessed through the QIB Mobile app at anytime from anywhere, allowing customers to view and redeem the ABSHER Points they have accumulated.

The upgrade also allows Vodafone customers to pay their bills or top-up their credit and data by simply registering their number just once on the award-winning QIB Mobile App.
