Installation ceremony of Young Student Parliamentarians
The Prefects’ Guild for the years 2014/2015 was formally inducted into office at Pakistan Education Centre (PEC) recently. The investiture ceremony was attended by Principal Nargis Raza Otho and held at the Arbab Auditorium of the school.
Principal administered the oath to the members of student council.
The elections for the school parliament were held in two phases. In the first phase, the students elected class monitors and proctors through balloting. In the second phase, all the students of the school exercised their right to vote for the election of the Head Boy and the Head Girl.
The Principal pinned the badges to newly elect Head Boy Afnan Akbar and Head Girl Sidra Haider. Then, the other members of student council were sworn in by the newly elected heads of the student parliament.
The Head Boy and Head Girl addressed the students and spoke about the qualities of a true leader. They acknowledged the solemnity of their roles by saying that power comes with responsibility.
The Principal addressed the students and emphasised about the importance of right to vote, instructing them to make a fair use of their vote for the efficient candidates and show their sincerity and commitment to contribute to uplift the progress of the school.
The ceremony was conducted by Reema Rashid, Head of Arts and Culture department of PEC.
