Moroccan star Youssef Sekour (pictured) arrived in Doha yesterday to undergo a medical test at Aspetar today. Sekour is looking to make a move from Moroccan Championship side IR Tanger to Qatar Stars League (QSL) team Umm Salal.
The 29 year old attacker has played in Europe as well as Morocco and Umm Salal are set to make him their fourth foreign professional for the upcoming QSL season.
The Orange fortress have already signed a Moroccan player in Adil Rhaili and have retained Syrian international Mamoud Mawas and Ivorian star Yannick Sagbo.
Meanwhile, Al Ahli have confirmed that they have signed influential Qatari attacker Majid Mohamed for one season with an option to renew.
The 31-year-old midfielder moves to the Brigadier’s ranks from Al Duhail and will be looking forward to making an impact in the new season. The former Qatari international has 77 international caps and more than 10 years of experience in the QSL.
The player will now join his team for their 20-day pre-season training camp which will be held in Holland from today.
