Doha: 'The Desert Rose' exhibition by British photographer Richard Bentley was opened last evening at Katara Cultural Village Foundation.

The exhibition features the nature and architecture in Qatar, continues until July 25.

The exhibition includes 34 pictures as a selection of the works of the British photographer who took tens of thousands of photos during his five years in Qatar as a filmmaker and photographer. He chose the expression in his pictorial art of Qatari architecture and its most prominent features. The country nature of land and sea, the beauty of its impressive architecture and its unique museums.

Commenting on the exhibition, British photographer Richard Bentley told Qatar News Agency (QNA): "I have been living in Qatar for five years and I have seen the beauty of nature so I tried to express it with my lens. I chose certain moments that I saw more expressively, such as the moments of sunrise or sunset or during sandstorms to be more realistic and sincere in expressing the environment of Qatar, noting that he benefited from his academic specialization in information and communication to mix technology and art and develop his vision to be a panoramic photography.

Richard is a British photographer and time-lapse filmmaker.

He was educated in London in Communication and Information Studies, where he specialised in video production, in particular film editing.
