First Ramadan Walking Football Championship was held in Doha with 10 teams participating, representing Doha, Ghana, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Kenya, El Salvador and Gambia.
The Ramadan Championship was held under the patronage of Farhan Al Sheikh Al Sayed, President, IWFF Asia and Ambassador of El Salvador H E Milton Alcides Magana and Ambassador of Gambia H E Foday Malang.
Doha team won the closely contested final, beating the Gambian team.
Mohamed Nabeel, captain of Doha team, received the winners' trophy from President Farhan Al Sheikh Al Sayed, El Salvador Ambassador H E Milton Alcides Magana and Gambian Ambassador H E Foday Malang.
El Savador women team beat Kenyan women team in the finals to clinch the trophy.
Dani of El Salvador team was the highest goal scorer in the women's event.
Abdul Azeez of Doha, Charles of Ghana and Shareef of Gambia were the highest scorers, each striking the net three times.
