Doha: Kerala Women's Initiative Qatar (KWIQ) and Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) hosted a "Henna Night" event at the Ashoka Hall, ICC on April 30, 2022 as part of Eid celebrations. The event organisers followed a Mughal era theme and had ladies dressed as Emperor Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz.

This was one of the highlights as visitors were excited to take pictures with the legendary Mughal couple.

Henna artists at the venue applied beautiful designs for the visitors. The event also had food, garments and jewellery stalls.

"As event hosts, we are happy to have had an overwhelming crowd who came in to apply henna and enjoyed the vibrant vibe of pre-Eid set up at the venue.

The event was scheduled to end at 10pm, however due to the unprecedented crowd, we extended the timings further into the night with the support of Subramanya Hebbagelu, ICC - Acting President," said Zareena Ahad, KWIQ President. Managing committee members of ICC were also present for the event.
