The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has released special limited edition souvenir sheet stamps featuring “Philippine mythical creatures” in line with the country’s participation to the recently concluded 30th Asian International Stamp Exhibition in Taiwan.

Four Philippine mythical creatures were featured in the special souvenir sheet stamps: Nuno sa Punso (goblin of the mound), Sirena (mermaid), Si Malakas at si Maganda (strong one and beautiful one) and Diwata (fairy) Maria Sinukuan. These are typical Filipino folk literature or stories associated mostly in rural parts of the country.

Laid-out by PHLPost in house artist RodineTeodoro, the special souvenir sheet stamps will be sold at P150  each (in sheet) and only 5,000 pieces in limited copies were printed.
