As the continuous rainy weather had dampened business of car service stations, return of sunny days has revived the usual activity.
With clear weather condition for few days in Doha, various car service stations are again packed with vehicles round the clock to avail different services, particularly washing.
During visits to different service stations it was learnt that most of the cars are facing radiator problems which led cars to heating-up. Customers are waiting for hours to get their cars washed and avail services like lube-change, manual car wash, automatic car wash, vacuum bay services, tyre change & wheel alignment, oil filter change and repair bay services.
Muhammed Ashraf, an employee at Woqod Service Station told The Peninsula: “Since couple of days our service station is packed with customers. Sunday we washed 130 cars by manual wash and 140 by auto wash.
Currently we are charging body wash for QR30 for saloon cars and QR35 for jeeps and vans, jack wash for saloon cars is QR45 and QR50 for others. This includes free vacuum and inside cleaning of cars. Our service station is open 24 hours and around 10am we have received 50 vehicles.”
“Due to rain, many cars have come up with radiator problems while most of the cars heat up due to weather conditions. Most of the customers prefer jack wash over body wash due to mud on the cars,” he added.
Dilshan, a customer at Abu Hamour Woqod Service Station told this newspaper: “I stood in queue for 40 minutes to get my car washed, but certainly I left the service centre without getting the work done. I got a general service done which took another 20 minutes.”
Teyseer Service Centre, the company that presently operates three petrol stations and four service stations provide a matchless range of quality care services such as full wash, steam wash, greasing, oil and filter change, express lube, flushing engines, mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance and sale of auto care products, batteries etc.
An employee at Teyseer Service Center in Al- Hilal told The Peninsula: “We have received more than 200 vehicles within two days. Due to change in climate, customers have been waiting for different services to be done. For saloon car body wash we are charging QR33 and 4x4 cars for QR39, jack wash for 4x4 cars for QR60 – QR55 and for saloon cars for QR33. Since yesterday the service station has been packed with cars.”
“Since morning 20 cars have been washed with inside cleaning as well. There are six cars in waiting list. Some of the customers come with mechanical issues, while as most of them for car jack wash and body wash,” said an employee at National Car Wash in Matar Qadeem.
