The Health Monitoring Section at Al Rayyan Municipality destroyed 333.8kg of Sheri (Spangled emperor) after they were found infected by parasites.
The municipality sent a circular to all outlets selling fish to ensure they don't sell parasite-infected fish to the public. It sent some samples to central laboratory at the Ministry of Public Health to know the type of parasites and their danger.
The circular was sent also to all municipalities to carry out inspection and take the required measures. Meanwhile, Doha Municipality have shut down three violating food outlets for preparing food and selling them in unhealthy conditions.
