DOHA: Peter Pan, international musical production of JM Barrie opens tonight at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).
Performed on the custom-built stage in the centre’s 4,000-seat exhibition hall, Peter Pan - The Never Ending Story tells the enchanting tale of a boy who refuses to grow up.
It will be brought to life by an international cast performing dazzling flying sequences utilising state-of-the-art suspension equipment.
The hi-tech production also features exciting visuals combined with pop, opera and classical music.
The centre will provide expert sound and lighting equipment as well as its projection system that will elevate the show with surrounding CGI projections, which will provide the audience with one-of-a-kind experience.
“As the venue of choice for family entertainment shows, especially those willing to travel from nearby countries and immerse themselves in international and regional theatre, we are thrilled to bring Peter Pan to life,” said Ken Jamieson, General Manager, QNCC.
“We are committed, today more than ever, to elevating Qatar as an entertainment hub for friends and families from around the region.
“Our ambition is to completely align ourselves with our leadership and bring Qatar National Vision 2030 to life by contributing to the social environment that encourages tourism,” said Saleh Johar Al Mohammed, Chief Operating Officer, AMLAK. Peter Pan runs until October 9. Tickets can be purchased at Virgin Megastore.
