DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Porsche Centre Doha Al Boraq Automobiles Co W L L, dealer of Porsche vehicles in Qatar, has announced the recall of Porsche Cayenne models of 2018-2019 over defect in the seat-belt buckle durability for the rear seat.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, dealer of Mercedes Benz vehicles in Qatar, has also announced the recall of Mercedes Benz Setra Bus model of 2007 over the possibility of a defect in the anti-trap strip of pneumatic outwards opening door sensor.
The ministry said the recall campaigns come within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.
The Ministry has urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department.
