Beirut: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met yesterday with Commander of the Army of the sisterly the Republic of Lebanon General H E Joseph Aoun, during the visit of His Excellency to Beirut to attend the Arab Foreign Ministers Consultative Meeting, called upon by Lebanon. During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations were reviewed. General Joseph Aoun thanked Qatar for its announcement of the contribution of $60m in support of the Lebanese Army. For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the announcement of this contribution comes within the framework of Qatar’s firm commitment to support the Republic of Lebanon, and to stand by the brotherly Lebanese people.-QNA
