Cairo: The Egyptian army said on Wednesday 10 soldiers had been killed and wounded in North Sinai after suspected militants attacked five checkpoints in therestive area.
The army spokesman said in a statement that 22 "terrorists" had been killed when soldiers clashed with them. Security sources put the toll higher, saying 20 security forces had been killed and 40 wounded.
