Doha: Qatar head coach Felix Sanchez yesterday named 27-player national squad which will travel to Spain for a training camp as part of their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 preparations.
That training camp begins tomorrow and will continue till June 28.
Qatar’s last assignment was two home friendlies against Bulgaria and Slovenia in March.
Before the two matches, Qatar featured at the FIFA Arab Cup, which was played in November-December last year.
The squad announced yesterday included team’s seasoned players Hassan Al Haydos, Karim Boudiaf, Abdelkarim Hassan and Almoez Ali besides goalkeepers Saad Al Sheeb, Mashel Ibrahim and Yousuf Hassan.
Hosts Qatar are in Group A of the FIFA World Cup along with Ecuador, Netherlands and Senegal.
