Qatar has occupied top rank in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2017. Qatar ranked 8th in the economic performance, 11 in the government efficiency, 12 in terms of efficiency of the business sector, while ranked 38 in the infrastructure sector.
Qatar ranked 17th out of 63 countries, mostly developed countries. Minister of Development Planning and Statistics H E Dr Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nabit has welcomed the results of this report.
“These results have enhanced Qatar's position in different fields, and it will help us to see the categories where we need to put more efforts,” the Minister said.
