DOHA: A five-day workshop on behavioural skills for investigators was held at Capital Security Department recently.
The Director General of General Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Brigadier Khalifa Abdullah Al Noaimi, spoke on the ‘Ethical Model of Policeman’. He said that a police officer, in all his dealings with the public, should have a high sense of responsibility as he represents not only himself but also the Ministry of Interior, which is entrusted with ensuring the security, safety and dignity of every member of society.
The Director of Legal Affairs Department, Brigadier Salim Saqr Al Muraikhi, spoke on the qualities that must be shown by the investigating officer. He pointed out that the investigator being the first to receive a criminal case, has a primary role in the detection of the facts and circumstances of the case, and therefore he plays a leading role in gathering evidence.
Lt-Colonel Nasser Misfar Al Qahtani, the head of the Al Sadd Police Division, said that the workshop was jointly organised by Al Sadd Police Division and the Training Section of the Human Resource Department.
