The new office-bearers of Science India Forum-Qatar.
Doha: Science India Forum-Qatar (SIF-Q), an associate organisation of the Indian Cultural Center, functioning under the aegis of the Embassy of India, held its Annual General meeting recently.
The AGM was well attended by members’ fraternity including a live interaction with the GCC Coordinator.
The activity report for the year 2020-2021 was appraised including the approval of the accounts and budget.
AGM later unanimously selected new office bearers for the next term of 2022-24.
They included: President Ravikumar Narayanan, Vice-President Anjana Krishna Menon, Secretary Srinivas Oruganti and Treasurer Nidheesh Pachat along with other ExCom team. SIF-Q closely works with Indian educational institutions in Qatar and science and research organisations in India to encourage students to develop a passion for science and technology as well as educate the youngsters on the rich contributions made by Indian scientists towards science and technology.
SIF-Q conducts Shastra Pratibha contests, national children science congress exams, workshops and training programmes for teachers and students and arrange visits to science and research organisations in India to enable students to interact with renowned scientists and visualise their dreams as researcher.
SIF also strives to strengthen the Indo-Qatar ties in education, science and technology.
