Doha: The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) held yesterday a meeting with representatives of a number of state agencies, from different sectors, to discuss the National Cyber Security Strategy (2023-2028).
The meeting came as a continuation of the NCSA’s efforts to engage the relevant parties in unifying the visions and aspirations of the country’s strategy during the coming period in the field of cyber security.
Director of Cyber Governance and Assurance Affairs Eng. Dana Youssef Al Abdullah presented the action plan that began months ago, in order to prepare for the draft national cyber security strategy, in cooperation with a large group of state institutions.
Al Abdullah touched on the basic elements included in the strategy, which were prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Planning and Statistics Authority, and in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, stressing the agency’s keenness to align the strategy with the country’s aspirations, as the global and local cyber security scene was studied, and the current situation in the State of Qatar in view of the existing challenges and opportunities.
She stressed that the principles of shared responsibility and unifying efforts will reflect the identity of the National Cyber Security Strategy, which in turn will enhance the strategic and specific goals and initiatives over the next five years.
The NCSA seeks to unite efforts with state institutions as an important component of the success of the National Cyber Security Strategy.
The attendees expressed their thanks and appreciation to the NCSA for its initiative in holding this type of meeting, which will facilitate the next stages of preparing and implementing the strategy.
