Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani patronized the 14th Education Excellence Day Award ceremony, which took place at Doha Sheraton Hotel on Monday morning.
The Amir honoured the winners of the Education Excellence Award at the ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and Ministers, and senior state officials.
HH the Amir honoured the 71 winners of the Education Excellence Award, who are Masters and PhD degree holders, university graduates and outstanding primary, preparatory and secondary school students, in addition to the winners in the categories of outstanding teacher and school.
A film about the 2021 Award and the winners in various categories was screened during the ceremony.
The ceremony also included a speech by Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi and another delivered by a student, Ahmed Abdullah Al Buainain, award winner in the Masters degree category, on behalf of the honoured.
The Education Excellence Award Day ceremony for this year was organized amid precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of Covid-19.
