49-year-old succumbs to Covid-19 as Qatar reports 444 community cases on March 1

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today reported 473 new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) and 440 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 154,061.

Out of 473 new cases, 444 are community cases and 29 from travellers returning from abroad.

A 49-year-old patient succumbed to the virus taking the total death toll in Qatar due to Covid-19 to 259.

The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 164,137 and there are 9,817 active cases under treatment.

6,373 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (9,735 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,544,331 tests.

There are 98 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in the hospital to 686.

Seven were admitted to intensive care in the last 24 hours, and so 99 people continue to receive medical attention in ICU.
