We wish the competitors the best of luck and invite everyone to come and enjoy this amazing spectacle.”
Talal Al Kuwari, winner of 2014 ‘Strongest Man’ competition, said: “Last year’s event was exceptionally well organised and very competitive.
“I’m expecting it to be just as good this year. Those of us taking part are much better prepared this year, and the competition is likely to be tougher as a result.”
Another participant, Fahad Al Haddad said: “I’m enormously excited at the prospect of taking part in this competition.
“It has proven to be very effective in encouraging young Qataris to participate in physical activities and take an interest in health and fitness more generally.
“This is the second time I am participating in ‘Qatar’s Strongest Man’ and I hope that the competition continues to grow and attract greater numbers of participants in the future. I wish all those taking part the very best of luck.”
The competition has been designed as the ultimate test of strength and endurance during which participants will compete face-to-face in many challenges.
These include truck pulling, deadlifting, lifting sand bags, flipping giant tyres, heavy weightlifting (180kg) and carlifting.
The competition will follow a points system and rank the winners in accordance with the number of points they get.
