Doha, Qatar: Civil Aviation Authority participated in the 18th meeting of the Executive Committee of Civil Aviation in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries which was held yesterday via video conference.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by Mohamed Faleh Al Hajri, in charge of managing Civil Aviation Authority, in the presence of a number of directors of technical departments in the authority.
In a statement issued yesterday, the authority stated that the agenda of the meeting included many axes related to the fields of air navigation and safety, and it discussed procedures for completing the linking of more air navigation systems between the GCC countries.
The meeting also addressed the unified programnme for evaluating safety on foreign aircraft and discussed the requirements for establishing a unified Gulf communications network in the field of air navigation as well as the Executive Committee’s latest updates regarding the establishment of a Gulf Civil Aviation Authority.
