Regulated outdoor summer working hours come into force on June 1 in Qatar

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour announced the enforcement of the regulated outdoor work hours starting June 1, 2026. 

As per the announcement, outdoor work is prohibited between 10am and 3:30pm from June 1 to September 15, 2026.

This comes as part of national efforts to ensure a safe working environment and protect workers during the summer months. 

The Ministry of Labour added that this is in implementation of Ministerial Decision No. 17 of 2021 on heat stress prevention.
