Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the State H E Zaid Mufleh Al Louzi described the Qatari-Jordanian relations as historic and solid at various levels, stressing the two countries’ keenness to cooperate in various fields in the interest of the two brotherly peoples.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Jordanian Ambassador said that there are many areas in which it is possible for relations to be developed, especially in the phase of recovery from COVID-19 pandemic, which means that there are many opportunities in many economic sectors that have been affected by the pandemic, as well as the cooperation offered by Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
His Excellency congratulated H H the Amir, the government and the people of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day, and praised the State of Qatar’s achievement in all fields, as it has become a great success story and a source of inspiration to countries and peoples of the world, wishing it further progress and prosperity.
Regarding his assessment of the rapid recovery of the State of Qatar from the pandemic, he said that the response plan put in place by the Qatari authorities to confront this pandemic has spared the country many of the repercussions of this crisis, and made its impact at its lowest levels on citizens and residents, noting that the country continues as an important economic destination for all international companies that have not stopped searching for new investment opportunities in it.
HE the Ambassador stressed that this success is credited to the Qatari leadership, which dealt with great intelligence with this crisis without endangering the health of citizens and residents, while at the same time protecting the economy and social welfare of all residents of the country.
On Qatar’s preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022, His Excellency said that the success of the State of Qatar in preparing to host this global event was brilliant and did not come from a vacuum or by chance, but rather, it is the result of many years of planning, study and preparations.
He added that although the next World Cup will be held on the Qatari soil, it is for all Arabs, as the Qatari leadership affirms, and its success is a success for all Arabs, stressing that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan id ready to put its expertise and capabilities at the disposal of Qatar to organize the best possible version of the World Cup.
With regard to the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, His Excellency noted that the good organization, hosting and international stadiums “made us feel that we are already in the midst of a world championship at the highest levels,” in addition to the opening ceremony that brought together the Arabs after a long break.
His Excellency also praised the scenes of fraternity and cordiality that gathered Arabs in the stadiums, and said that the scenes of fraternity among the fans who attended to cheer for their teams in the stadiums are heartening, and emphasise the brotherly relations between our peoples, as this tournament confirmed that what is separated by politics is united by sports.
