Road maintenance to cause closures across parts of Qatar

Doha, Qatar: The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has announced a series of temporary road closures starting this weekend for areas in and around Doha to carry out maintenance works. 

The closures will affect the following locations: 

Two lanes near Jabur Bin Ahmed Intersection coming from Salwa towards Wadi Mushaireb Intersection will be closed from 2am on Friday, September 12, 2025, until 7am on Saturday, September 13, 2025. 

A single lane and left turn lane coming from Lejbailat Interchange towards Onaiza Interchange on Al Markhiya Street will be closed from 2am on Friday, September 12, 2025, until 7am on Saturday, September 13, 2025. During this period, traffic will be redirected towards Lekhwair Interchange as indicated in the map.

A full closure of the two left lanes in Al-Jamiaa Street for traffic coming from Markhiyah intersection and heading toward Television intersection will take place starting from 11pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025, until 5am of Thursday, September 18, 2025.

Ashghal urged road users on Al-Jamiaa  Street to utilise the right lanes at intersections to reach their destinations. 

Motorists are also advised to adhere to the speed limit, follow detour signs and consider using nearby streets to avoid delays.
