Geroudet defeated Chinese Sun Yujie, bronze medalist in the individual and team gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games, in the fourth round. In the quarter-finals, she defeated for the first time in four games, the London Olympic champion, Jama Shemyakina of Ukraine. In the semi-finals, she overcame Revesz. In the final, she kept her cool to edge out Beljajeva, 2013 World Championship winner in Budapest. The four-day championship will end today with the women’s team championship final. Around 314 fencers from 50 countries are taking part in the Women’s World Cup and the Men’s Grand Prix.
