Doha: The third round of Qatar Superbike (QSBK) and fourth round of Qatar Challenge (QCH) will take place this weekend at Losail International Circuit.
The leader of the championship with 85 points is the defending three-time Qatar Superbike Championship, Alex Cudlin riding a Kawasaki ZX-10R.
Cudlin team mate, Nina Prinz, is in third place of the standings with 61 points.
“I am very excited to take part in this round as I will be riding a new Suzuki bike who came from Germany and I hope to compete closer with Alex and Nasser in the front” Nina said.
The Qatari rider Nasser Al Malki is second in the overall standings with 67 points with a BMW.
Together with the QSBK there will be also another round of the Losail Asia Road Racing Series (LARRS). The leader of the LARRS is the female rider from Serbia, Manca Katrasnik with 70 points. For the second round, three more female riders will be joining: Hannah Bader from Lebanon who had participated in the first round, Victoria Kis from Hungary and the American rider Shelina Moreda.
In the cars section, David Walker driving a Honda car is heading the standings with 76 points and Peter De Vido is in second place with 49 points.
Free practice and qualifying practices are scheduled today from 1.00 to 4.20pm.
Races will be tomorrow, with bike races at 11:20am and 2:50pm and the car race at 1:30pm.
