DOHA: Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA) held a graduation ceremony for the first batch of eight Qatari executives who completed the ‘Aspiration for Success’ (AFS), Qatari leadership development programme, a press statement issued by QFBA said yesterday.
This programme was designed and implemented by QFBA to assist financial institutions to develop a sustainable competitive advantage in an increasingly challenging business environment. The AFS leadership programme was designed to develop emergent Qataris garner various industry related competencies and experiences to facilitate their career paths in becoming the country’s future business leaders.
The academy asserted its commitment to the local financial services industry by awarding the graduates with graduation certificates along with recognition certificates from world renowned financial industry players such as HSBC London, RBS London, and LSE London where the students had interned during the three-month programme.
Dr Abdulaziz Al Horr, QFBA CEO, said: “This course was designed to be a challenging platform for high calibre candidates to develop their skills and help drive their organisations forward. Through the course, the group of candidates and their local organisations will be able to have a direct and positive impact on their business and on the society as a whole.” Shashank Srivastava, CEO of Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority, said: “The ‘Aspiration for Success’ programme is the next logical step for participants who are looking to sharpen their skill sets as well as for those looking to capitalise on the opportunities that are offered within Qatar.”
