Seoul: The first meeting of the Qatari-Korean Joint Higher Strategic Committee kicked off here yesterday with Chairman of Qatar’s Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, leading the Qatari side, in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada. The South Korean side to the first meeting was chaired by Minister of Strategy and Finance Bahk Jae-wan.   In his keynote speech Al Attiyah said the convening of the committee, which was formed by an initiative of the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and South Korean President Lee Myung-bak, proves that that relations between the two countries are going on the right track and the outcomes would be positive. 

 “Qatar has been monitoring with due concern the success of the Korean development experiment,” said Al Attiyah.QNA
