Islamabad: Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari received yesterday a message from the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani,  dealing with  bilateral relations and issues of common interest. Qatar’s Ambassador in Islamabad Sayar Abdurhman Jassim Al Mauda  delivered the message to the Pakistani  President, during a meeting at the Presidential Palace here yesterday.

Emir mourns Ex-Algerian president

Algiers: On behalf of the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, H E Sheikh Joan bin Hamad Al Thani attended here yesterday the funeral of former Algeria’s President Ahmed bin Bella.  Sheikh Joan conveyed the condolences of the Emir on the death of bin Bella to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and the family of the deceased. Sheikh Joan also conveyed the condolences of the Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to both the President and the family of the deceased.
