Kazakhstan, Qatar in deal to expand ties

Dr Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Muraikhi, Director General of Qatar Development Fund, and Kanat Saudabayev, Director of the Fund of Culture, Education and Social Programmes of N Nazarbayev in Kazakhstan, sign an agreement on cooperation in the areas of culture, education, health and social development.

DOHA: Qatar Development Fund and the Fund of Culture, Education and Social Programmes of N Nazarbayev in Kazakhstan have signed an agreement to expand cooperation between the two countries.

The memorandum of understanding was signed for Qatar by Dr Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Muraikhi, Director General of Qatar Development Fund, while it was signed for Kazakhstan by Kanat Saudabayev, director of the Kazakh fund.

The deal covers the fields of culture, education, health, social development and the protection of nature.

The signing of the MoU was attended by a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry.
