Gaza: Sheikh Eid Charity raises QR20m

DOHA: Sheikh Eid Charity has collected QR20m through its Gaza fund-raising campaign, which was launched two days ago. 
Eid Charity’s Acting Director-General Miteb Al Marri said the fund-raising campaign is still going on to receive donations and contributions. He said the Palestinian issue was at the heart of the humanitarian activities undertaken by Qatar and Sheikh Eid Charity which has carried out 740 projects in Palestine since 2007 at a cost of QR245m. 
Al Marri said Sheikh Eid Charity began its initiative since the first day of the Israeli aggression on the people of Gaza to provide them with relief, food and medical aid and initiated emergency relief worth QR1m for their support to assist 5,000 affected families.
