DOHA: Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) Q.S.C., provided a cheque for QR102,300 to help build a healthcare facility in Mali through a project owned by Qatar Charity (QC).

The initiative comes as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility programme which extends a helping hand to communities locally and internationally.

QC will handle proceedings and ensure the completion and operational aspect of the 105sqm facility in Mali, North Western Africa, as part of its efforts to provide basic amenities for those unable to afford them.

The facility will provide primary and essential services to people long embattled by a crisis that has affected the livelihood of families and suffering from increased poverty level.

The bank’s corporate social responsibility aims at balancing economic, social and environmental obligations. It affirmed solidarity with disadvantaged societies.
