DOHA: To strengthen business ties with government agencies, RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) recently initiated a relationship building meeting with five key representatives from Qatar’s General Directorate of Civil Defence.
“RasGas is always seeking out new ways to enhance our mutual efforts to build a safe and secure community which is essential for business and the nation as a whole.
“We appreciate the role Civil Defence personnel play and their efforts to ensure that we have a safe workplace,” said Jassim Al Baker, Head of Logistics, RasGas.
The workshop in RasGas’ West Bay headquarters included presentations by both parties, explaining the business flow and the role each party plays in facilitating a mutually-beneficial work relationship.
“The workshop provided me and my team with very unique insights into RasGas’ business needs and areas in which we can support one another during our routine inspections, warehouse and store functions as well as safety systems and chemicals permissions.
“We look forward to reaping benefits of such a workshop and would like to encourage other companies to host similar workshops,” said Colonel Ibrahim Abdulrahman Al Muftah, Director of Prevention Department at the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
RasGas plans to host similar workshops with other government ministries and agencies to enhance mutual understanding.
