New private school to begin enrolling students today

DOHA: Admissions in Loyola International School (LIS), a new Indian school approved by the Supreme Education Council recently, start today.

Online registration from KG I to Class III have already started and the classes are scheduled to commence on September 7.

The school’s campus is spread over 5,000 square metres. It is located on Al Andalus Street in Al Nasr, Al Sadd.

With a special focus on the quality of education and activity-oriented teaching methodologies, Loyola International School has made all possible efforts to ensure that the experience of children in the campus, and the trust built with their parents are beyond mere satisfaction, it said in a statement yesterday. 

The school has already recruited the required number of teaching and non-teaching staff. More employees will be recruited as required, keeping in mind the number of students in the next phase, which begins on April 15, 2015, it said.

The school’s campus comprises different blocks and is surrounded by greenery. The campus hosts a library, tennis and badminton courts, a football and a multipurpose play area and a swimming pool, along with facilities for extra-curricular activities.

Loyola International School follows the CBSE syllabus. Its Doha edition is the first franchise of Loyola Education Institutions in the Middle East. Loyola is based in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad. It has 13 educational institutions in south India.
