DOHA: The weather bureau has forecast strong winds over all parts of Qatar today. Low horizontal visibility is expected at times inshore and rough seas offshore.
The day will be hot with slight dust or blowing dust at times. It may be partly cloudy offshore.
The wind will be northwesterly, at 12 to 22 knots, reaching 28 knots at times, becoming mainly northeasterly at 10-20 knots by afternoon inshore. Offshore, the wind will be blowing at 12 to 22 knots, reaching 26 knots at times before decreasing to 5-15 knots by evening.
Visibility will be four to eight kilometres, decreasing to 3,000 metres or less at times at some places. A maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius is expected in Doha, Al Wakra and Mesaieed, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily report yesterday.
