DOHA: The country is expected to witness a fresh spell of windy and dusty weather from tomorrow until the end of the week, according to forecasters.
Coastal areas will be especially affected during day time, as northwesterly wind blowing at speeds ranging from 12 to 24 knots at times and reaching up to 30 knots at places, will kick up dust.
The strong northwesterly wind, accompanied by dusty weather at times, will decrease horizontal visibility, particularly in open areas and on highways, said the forecasters.
The wind will lose its sting at night as its speed would come down to moderate levels.
The sea will be rough with wave heights reaching up to four to eight feet.
Forecasters said the deepening of the Indian monsoon will be creating the above weather conditions.
Mercury levels are expected to range between 38 and 43 degrees Celsius, which is the typical range for this time of the year.
Scattered clouds could be seen all over the country on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, said the forecasters.
However, as for today, the weather is likely to be dusty, with temperatures varying from 30 degrees (at places at night) to 46 degrees (during daytime).
Al Khor, some 42km north of Doha, is expected to witness the maximum variation of 16 degrees between day and night temperatures as the maximum temperature forecast is 46 degrees and the minimum 30.
Dukhan and Al Ruwais, on the other hand, will witness the least variation of nine degrees in day and night temperatures as the maximum temperature forecast is 41 degrees and the minimum 32.
